System Warranty

Coax Jax, Inc. warranties all installations for a period of one (1) year from the substantial completion of the installation (or first use of the system) to be free from defects in both workmanship and materials. Warranty repairs will be handled in a timely and professional manner. Good communication is the key to successful technical support. Coax Jax will provide you with time and cost estimates, as this information is known. Collaborative problem solving is often essential to maintaining services in lieu of system difficulties. Coax Jax will provide the client with 24 hour on site and 8-hour phone response to all warranty claims during the initial warranty period, provided the client follows the warranty claims procedures. Should a four (4) hour response time be required this will be accommodated with a $200 per call rush surcharge. All service calls due to operator error, abuse, neglect or any other reason other than defects in workmanship or materials will be billed as a standard service call. Service call rates are as follows:

  • Normal Business Hours (8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday): $120 for the initial hour with a one-hour minimum, and $120 for each additional hour.

  • Evening, Early AM and Weekend Hours (“Time and a half”)

    • 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM Monday through Friday
    • 5:00 AM to 8:00AM Monday through Friday
    • 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM Saturday and Sunday:
    • Time and a half rate is $225 for the initial hour with a one-hour minimum and $150 for each additional hour.

       
  • Night Hours (“Double time”) 10:00 pm to 5:00 am: $300 for the initial hour with a one-hour minimum, and $200 for each additional hour.

Manufacturers’ equipment warranties vary in length; usually 90 days to 1 year, with some lasting a “lifetime”. Equipment purchased from Coax Jax, Inc., covered under manufacturer’s warranty but not covered under a system warranty will be covered as a depot warranty. Depot warranty does not include on-site removal, re-installation or freight associated with an out-of-contract repair. Depot warranty will require delivery of equipment to and from Coax Jax and payment for any uncovered repairs or freight charges. These uncovered services can be obtained through a standard service call or more economically when purchasing one of our custom service contracts. Equipment Warranty does not apply to product(s) that have been subject to misuse, neglect, accident or operational error. Software modifications are not covered. Equipment furnished by the client will require a separate warranty contract. During the installation process owner supplied equipment will be tested and adjusted as necessary and potential problems will be communicated to the designated system administrator. If existing equipment requires repair or replacement this will be evaluated based on budgetary and functional requirements and recommendations provided.
